Born and raised in New York City to Eastern European immigrants, Mark is an artist who has been drawing and painting since the age of 3 and has been photographing cultural identities since 2005. He has covered projects on Lakota Indians in Pine Ridge, South Dakota to South Asian-American independent motel owners around the historic route "66". His work has appeared in numerous publications and has been exhibited widely throughout the United States. In late 2013, Mark won first place for 'Travel Portrait' in Photo District News magazine and was a finalist for 'People Portrait' at the Masters Cup of Photography in 2010. He currently lives in San Diego with his wife and no pets.
